Freshman Year - 2011-2012
As I began my Freshman year, I looked forward to all of the opportunities that were available to me. I came into campus knowing that I wanted to attend medical school and made it my sole goal to excel in all my classes and have all the requirements necessary to be accepted into medical school. However, in the winter quarter I joined a group called UW Leaders that motivated me to become more involved on campus and as a result a more holistic individual.
At the end of my Freshman year, I learned that I no longer wanted to excel in all my classes and set myself up for medical school. I wanted to excel in living a fulfilling life and set up my future, which included the goal of becoming a doctor among other things.
